ZnSe Optical Windows

Product Overview

Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) windows are flat optical components with broad transmission across the visible and infrared regions, including the 10.6 μm CO2 laser wavelength.

They provide a protective optical interface while allowing light to pass through with minimal distortion.

Custom sizes, shapes, thicknesses, and anti-reflection coatings are available to meet specific system requirements.

Applications

  • CO2 Laser Systems: Used as protective windows in laser cutting, engraving, and marking equipment to transmit 10.6 μm laser beams.
  • Thermal Imaging & Night Vision: Used as infrared transmitting windows in thermal cameras and night vision systems to protect internal optics.
  • Infrared Spectroscopy: Used in analytical instruments to transmit infrared light for material identification and chemical analysis.
  • Industrial Temperature Monitoring: Used as protective windows in infrared temperature measurement systems for non-contact process monitoring.
  • Infrared Sensing: Used in gas detection and environmental monitoring instruments to transmit infrared signals while isolating sensitive optical components from the surrounding environment.
